Sports Day and Pirate Maths Share Morning

The children all took part in Sports Day. They did different activities in the morning and three races in the afternoon. They were all very resilient and took part eagerly on a very hot, sunny day.

We had a Maths Share Morning with a pirate theme. It was fantastic to see so many parents and carers with their children enjoying lots of fun, practical activities.

Fire engine visit

Grayson's dad and other fire fighters came to talk to us about their job as firefighters.

We learned about all the different call outs that they go to; they go and put out fires, rescue animals and cut people out of cars after an accident.

They showed us some of the equipment that they use. Mrs Sullivan got to try some on and we all tried the hose!

Some of us have been practising our fire fighting skills!

Red Nose Day and Visitors

Here we are on Red Nose Day!

Ms Easter came to talk to us about Australia. We learned where to find it on a globe and discovered what animals live there.

Many of our parents, grandparents and family came to our Writing Share Afternoon. Mrs Sullivan talked to them about early writing development and then we had lots of time to do some fun writing activities with them.

We wrote recipes, shopping lists and even did some Jedi writing.

Diss Library and Chinese Restaurant

First, we went to Diss library and explored all the stories and information books that are there to borrow.

Next, we walked to the Happy Palace Chinese restaurant. We tasted lots of different foods, used chop sticks and drank iced water from tall glasses. It was such a treat!

World Book Day

Can you guess which books these characters are from?

Visits and visitors

We were inspired by the story of Mr Wolf's Pancakes to make our own pancakes. Just like Mr Wolf, we wrote a shopping list, counted our money and then walked to the village shop to buy the ingredients.

We spotted all sorts of shapes in the shop too.

Anjali's Grandad who is from Sri Lanka came to talk to us about Sri Lanka. We learned about mangoes, coconuts, tea, monsoons and looked at different coins and notes. We watched Anjali do classical Indian dancing wearing beautiful clothes. Anjali's Mum wore a sari.

Bedtime Story Sharing

We all enjoyed our Bedtime Story Sharing Evening. After putting on our cosy clothes, we listened to three stories and had a warm drink and snack. Thank you for supporting this as we have raised enough money to buy a story bag and books.
